  1. How do I get started?

    Download EveryLastMile from the App Store, grant location and motion permissions when prompted, and start driving. You get full Premium access free for 30 days.

  2. Does the app drain my battery?

    No. EveryLastMile uses Apple's low-power location APIs, which wake the app only when you've actually moved a meaningful distance. Most users see 1–2% additional daily usage.

  3. How do I classify a trip?

    Open any trip and tap the category — Business, Personal, Medical, Charitable, or Moving. The app remembers patterns and pre-classifies familiar drives.

  4. What's in the PDF report?

    A mileage log formatted to IRS Publication 463 — date, start and end addresses, purpose, distance, and applicable mileage rate. Suitable for filing or audit.

  5. Where is my data stored?

    On your iPhone, in an encrypted local database. With iCloud sync enabled, your data is also backed up to your private iCloud account using CloudKit.

  1. Why does the app need location permissions?

    To detect when you start and stop driving. Location data stays on your device — we cannot see it. "Always Allow" is required for background detection to work.

  2. How does auto trip detection work?

    GPS, motion sensors, CarPlay, Bluetooth, and parking geofences work together to detect when you start and stop driving. Drives over two minutes are logged automatically.

  3. Can I edit a trip after the fact?

    Yes. Edit start point, end point, distance, category, vehicle, or notes anytime. The app trusts you.

  4. How do I export to my accountant?

    Generate a PDF or CSV report from the Reports tab, filter by date range and vehicle, then share via email, AirDrop, or save to Files. Premium-only.

  5. Do you sell my data?

    No. We have no server that holds trip data, no advertising partners, and no data brokers. The marketing site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics plus privacy-limited PostHog page and Web Vitals analytics with no cookies, no autocapture, and no session recording — see the Privacy Policy for details. There is nothing to sell.

  6. How do I cancel my subscription?

    Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then EveryLastMile, then Cancel. Apple handles all billing — we never see your card.
