About EveryLastMile

EveryLastMile is an independent iOS app that automatically tracks your business mileage for tax deductions — and keeps every trip on your iPhone instead of a company server.

What EveryLastMile is

EveryLastMile is an automatic mileage tracker for iPhone. It uses on-device sensor fusion — GPS, motion, CarPlay, Bluetooth, and parking geofences — to log every drive without manual input, sorts each trip with one tap, and exports detailed mileage logs you can use for tax deductions or reimbursement. EveryLastMile serves drivers across the United States and Canada.

What the app does

EveryLastMile records each drive automatically, separates business miles from personal, and turns them into an audit-ready mileage log. There's no timer to start and no button to press — the coffee run, the supply stop, and the drive home are already on your timeline, formatted the way tax authorities like the US IRS and the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) expect.

Who EveryLastMile is for

EveryLastMile is built for people who drive for work and either claim a mileage deduction or seek reimbursement: self-employed drivers, gig workers (Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Instacart, Amazon Flex, Walmart Spark), freelancers and independent contractors, real estate agents, sales reps, consultants, and small business owners across the US and Canada.

Why we built it

We built EveryLastMile for one specific person: the iPhone-using freelancer, gig worker, sole proprietor, or outside sales rep who wants their business miles captured reliably without babysitting an app — and without handing their movements to a server. Every design decision follows from that, from sensor-fusion detection that doesn't drain your battery to clear, audit-ready reports you can hand to an accountant or attach to a claim.

Your data stays yours

Your location history is yours. Most mileage trackers upload every route to a vendor's servers; EveryLastMile is built the opposite way. Trip routes, addresses, and timestamps stay on your iPhone in an encrypted database. No EveryLastMile server holds your driving history, and optional iCloud sync goes to your own private iCloud account — never ours.

How EveryLastMile is different

  • On-device by architecture Your trips are not uploaded to us, so there is nothing for us to sell, leak, or lose.
  • Audit-ready by design Detailed reports built around US IRS Publication 463 and Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) logbook requirements — records you can defend, not reconstruct at tax time.
  • iOS-native Live Activity, Dynamic Island, and background detection built to catch the short drives that are easy to miss.
  • Honest pricing $39.99/year — often less than other trackers charge per month.

Who's behind EveryLastMile

EveryLastMile is made by a small, focused team of product and design people who have worked with location data for years. There's no big server infrastructure to pay for and no incentive to monetize your driving — we charge $39.99 a year, and that's the whole business model.

We're new, and we're honest about that: the established trackers have years of reviews we can't match yet. What we have is a tracker built for how iPhones actually work in 2026 and a privacy architecture we'll put up against anyone's.
